1. Start A Writer’s Notebook

I don’t remember when I started my first notebook, but it was about my childhood events written by colorful pens and full of stickers. Now we have an instagram archive to see what we were doing at same time 2 years ago, but when I was a kid, notebook was the only reminder of what I was doing in previous years.

I still carry a notebook with me. The main function is making a to-do-list. It works much better than iphone planner.
British Vogue Fashion Features Director Sarah Harris said in Vogue interview about her must have items:

I always carry a desk diary with me. I never use the calendar on my iphone. I like to write everything down, that’s pretty much life in there. 

Emma Watson has her “Five-minute journal” for the last year. You get to write 3 things you are grateful for. You get to write daily affirmation.

3. Cook Something Delicious

Recipe from book “French pastry at the Ritz Paris”
FIRST PLEASURES OF THE DAY

Brioche French Toast:
Prep 20 min
Cook about 20 min

1 brioche / 1 cup milk / 1 vanilla bean / 3/4 cup egg yolk ( about 6 medium yolks) / Scant 2/3 superfine sugar / Whipping cream / Butter and brown sugar for cooking
In a saucepan, bring the vanilla and milk to a simmer.Remove from the heat, cover and let infuse. Meanwhile in a mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar together until pale and thickened ( the ribbon stage ) . Add the cream and the infused milk, a little at a time, whisking continuously. Remove the vanilla.
preheat the oven to 180 degree / Gas mark 4
Cut the brioche into tchick slices and then dip one slice in the cream mixture.Melt a little butter in a skillet and sprinkle over brown sugar. Let caramelize and then add the soaked brioche slices.
Fry the slices until they are caramelized on both sides and then finish cooking in the oven for 5-10 minutes.
